[00:00:03] Speaker A: Welcome to Home Health Revealed, the podcast for home health and hospice leaders who want to stay connected to the industry and ahead of what's next. I wear a cowboy hat on my podcast.
This is the first one guys wear. And I've never seen you without your cowboy hat. There you go. Talk right into it.
[00:00:18] Speaker B: What's up? What's up? 1, 2, 3.
[00:00:20] Speaker A: So this is Gavin. Michelle. That's how you say your last name?
[00:00:22] Speaker B: Yes, ma'. Am. Yeah.
[00:00:23] Speaker A: All right. Oh, we got a mam in there.
This feels very Ozarkian. This is Gavin. Gavin, tell us who you're with, what you do, and what you're doing in Ohio.
[00:00:31] Speaker B: My name is Gavin. I'm with Kanzyme EMR Software.
I'm here to have a good time with Matthew, my boy over there.
[00:00:40] Speaker A: Yeah, we're so proud of Matthew. We're going to celebrate later. But he just finished his Bachelor's. He's been working his tail off.
[00:00:46] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, he's a hustler.
[00:00:48] Speaker A: We're proud of him.
[00:00:49] Speaker B: Yeah, a hustler ain't a fighter.
[00:00:51] Speaker A: He's over there fighting the air.
Yeah. So tell us about cantime a little bit and what you do at cantime.
[00:00:57] Speaker B: So I'm in business development at Cantime, and my job is just basically be hype man for cantime. I love the product and I want everyone to know about it and know how great it is and want people to use it.
[00:01:09] Speaker A: Hype man for Cantime. That's. That's his new title.
[00:01:11] Speaker B: I want.
[00:01:12] Speaker A: He's no longer a bdr Whatever. He's hype man for cantime.
What is your favorite thing about cantime? When you're selling your clients, when you're talking to them about what they need, their solution, what is your favorite thing?
[00:01:23] Speaker B: My favorite thing is that.
So cantime is really technology focused. Before we were even in emr, we were a consulting company. And so it's important to know what your client needs. That way you can provide what they need to take care of people, because that's what this is all about. It's not about trying to sell people software. It's about trying to, you know, if someone has a need, show up for them and make sure that it's taken care of so that we can care for people. Because in the end, that's what it comes down to.
[00:01:54] Speaker A: Yep. And you're right. Cantime does an incredible job from an EMR perspective. They're very much a problem solving type of emr, and we need more of that definitely in this industry. And when it Comes to cantime. Some of our favorite things from an RCM perspective are the reporting features. Just. Just so you know, because I know clients need different things. And every emr, I will say this. Every EMR has different. Their strong suits. So foundational. Right. All of your documentation within your EMR is the foundation for running your agency, for the operations, for getting paid on the back end. And so all of those pieces really are solving a problem, putting everything together. So big decisions. All right. Have you been to Ohio many times? First time. Ohio is your favorite state of the United States. Holes on the end, high in the middle.
[00:02:44] Speaker B: I was 87 in Ohio at the central world's toughest. So I've been here before.
[00:02:48] Speaker A: 4.
[00:02:48] Speaker B: Yeah, a couple different times.
[00:02:49] Speaker A: Okay, tell us about that.
[00:02:51] Speaker B: Yeah, I was a.
Wrote some big red bramer bull out the lefts.
I think I ended up winning it.
[00:02:57] Speaker A: Really? Well, congratulations. But that actually doesn't mean a whole lot to me. I'm sorry to tell you. What you said just sounded like a foreign language, so break it down for me.
Do you ride bulls?
[00:03:08] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:03:08] Speaker A: You're a bull rider. Okay, let's start there. And Ohio had. What was the name of the event?
[00:03:13] Speaker B: It's called Cinch. World's toughest Cinch Jeans. Puts it on and showed up and had this big red bramer drawn, and I heard he was going to be cool. My buddy Creek Creek Young was on the back of the chute, hyped me up, and went out there and made it happen.
[00:03:28] Speaker A: Wow. Okay. You just went from, like, can time hype man to, like, total bull rider man. So this is. This is your life, right?
[00:03:34] Speaker B: Yeah, well, I don't ride bulls anymore. I've got a little daughter. She's a year old, and I didn't want to spend as much time on the road. And so I'm home now. Not chasing them. Not chasing bulls anymore.
[00:03:46] Speaker A: Aw, she. I'm sure she's worth it.
[00:03:48] Speaker B: Oh, man. She's my whole heart.
[00:03:51] Speaker A: Aw, I love that for you.
[00:03:53] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:03:53] Speaker A: Oh, well, thanks for sitting down with me. Anything you want me to ask you that? I haven't asked you.
[00:03:57] Speaker B: Special skills.
[00:03:58] Speaker A: All right. What are your special skills, Gavin?
[00:04:00] Speaker B: Now I gotta think of what I'm gonna say.
[00:04:03] Speaker A: I thought you were gonna pull that very special. I mean, bull riding seems like a very special skill, but aside from bull riding.
[00:04:11] Speaker B: Play the guitar a little bit.
[00:04:12] Speaker A: Okay.
I can do.
[00:04:15] Speaker B: I can do karaoke. I'm really good at karaoke.
[00:04:18] Speaker A: All right, what's your best go to karaoke song?
[00:04:21] Speaker B: Give me one. Friends in low places I got friends in low places where the whiskey drowns and the beer chases my blues away all right.
[00:04:34] Speaker A: Yes, we are. We are starting this conference off right first thing in the morning, and Gavin's already singing.
[00:04:39] Speaker B: I love it.
[00:04:40] Speaker A: Well, hey, it's awesome to talk to you. I hope you have a really great conference.
[00:04:43] Speaker B: Thank you. You, too.
