Here we are still in New Orleans on on site at the alliance for home care in 2025 and I am here with a very special guest and my co host. So I'm going to introduce my co host first, Bobby. [00:00:35] Speaker B: Bobbi. [00:00:35] Speaker A: Give us a little bit about you. Tell us who you are. [00:00:37] Speaker C: Perfect. And I'll make it quick. So I'm one of the VP of sales at careficient. So careficient is an EMR solution. We provide home health, hospice home care and palliative services. So an all in one solution. [00:00:50] Speaker A: Love it. And I'm here with Carol. Carol, would you tell us who you are and who you're with? [00:00:54] Speaker B: Yeah, of course. I'm Carol Weir and I'm the chief clin with and will Health partners up in Maine. So I'm really happy to be down in New Orleans. [00:01:02] Speaker A: Yes, welcome. Is this your first time in New Orleans? [00:01:05] Speaker B: It is not. I actually lived here for a while so yeah, I knew Orleans really well. [00:01:10] Speaker C: Nice. [00:01:11] Speaker A: Oh wow. This is my first time. Got to experience all the fun things. [00:01:14] Speaker B: It's a great city, things to do and see really good food. Yeah. Yes, yes. [00:01:19] Speaker A: Tell us how the conference is going for you. [00:01:21] Speaker B: I think this conference just brings so much to our industry. You know, the networking, not only, you know, those of us providing care, but also here like the vendors, the ones that are helping us and the back ends, you know, supporting us with product and lots of exciting advances ahead. So for us to be successful in what we do, we need this collaboration especially in this world of technology just now so much is changing. [00:01:46] Speaker C: I think it was at one of these conferences that we actually met like years ago. So it's. I'm always like, hey, are you going to be at this? I know cuz it's the time that I get to meet you again. So yeah, don't you love that? [00:01:58] Speaker A: Getting to reconnect? I really do. Now what kind of care do you provide? [00:02:01] Speaker B: We do a myriad of services. We were looking at the continuum of care, traditional anchor services like home health, hospice, Palt of care. We also have a hospice house. We cover all ages, pediatric up to obviously, you know, the elderly. We do mobile wound, we do Audiology. So really, really providing that wealth of services that people need. And Maine is a very rural state, like many states, but we are especially a rural state. We are also have the oldest age group in the nation. So we bring a certain, a certain something to the table. [00:02:39] Speaker A: You talked a little about technology. Tell me where your thoughts are with some of this technology, this AI. What are you seeing? What are you thinking about within your agency? [00:02:47] Speaker B: Well, we have to up with technology because we're drilling it down to the human being. So what do we need that technology to bring to the table? And just like we have to integrate our services, technology has to integrate, you know, all the vendors have to talk and make sure we're on the same path to serve the same purpose, which is, as I say, taking care of human beings. And we're all going to be there at some point, you know, needing that care. [00:03:14] Speaker C: I think you said something that is so important, it's on the back end. It's all of us being partners to make sure that we're providing you the best support that we possibly can. [00:03:24] Speaker B: Yes. Yeah. [00:03:26] Speaker C: And listening too. Right? Listening to you with the things that you're eating within a solution. [00:03:33] Speaker B: You know, we have so many regulations that kind of don't complicate it, but you know, they kind of dictate how a system needs built. And at the end of the day, it's the clinician in the field taking care of the patient. So how can we make it as easy as possible for them? So I'm very passionate about this, in case you didn't realize. Yes. [00:03:52] Speaker A: And I love that. I absolutely love it because you're right. We're equipping them to do the job and to make the difference. Thank you so much. [00:03:59] Speaker B: Thank you. [00:04:00] Speaker A: Sitting down with us. [00:04:01] Speaker B: Oh, you're welcome. It's really nice to meet you. Thank you. Thank you.
